when I look back

today while walking on the road I happened to look back,
gosh to my surprise when I turn back I can't see my shadow!!!

He has left me and gone far ahead,how can this happen,
when the promises he made were so hard to break...

Now I am running behind him as the fastest sprinter wud had,
But no chance!! I can't get hold of him..

So I sit exhausted on a rock and start to think back,
what made him leave me alone.

I can see myself playing around in yester years,
all the time my shadow behind as strongly bonded as ever...

But then I remember sometime back he had asked me,
sitting besides me in a deep retrospective mood..

How much I cared for him !! how much did I love him???
In a simple unobserved voice I had answered him
that my love has no bounds!!! bringing a weird smile on his face....

Yes I know now he understood ... I was lying!!!!
